No-Fault & Workers Compensation

No-Fault and Workers Compensation

“Suffering an injury as the result of a work or motor vehicle accident is bad enough without having to worry about medical expenses. I want you to receive treatment for your injuries and/or rule out any serious injuries with a minimum of anxiety on your part. I accept no-fault and have experience evaluating no-fault and workers compensation claims.”

-Dr. Bella Zimilevich, MD

No-Fault Claims

New York has a no-fault law in place in the event that you are involved in an auto accident. No-fault benefits are designed to cover medical expenses for accident victims. State regulations set the reimbursement rates for physicians paid by no-fault.

No-fault insurance may cover:

  • medical expenses, such as your physician’s fee
  • medications that are prescribed for your condition/injury
  • a percentage of lost wages due to an inability to work
  • childcare/housekeeping expenses accrued as a result of your injury

Workers Compensation Claims

If you suffer an injury on the job, the cost of any medical expenses or treatment maybe covered by your employer (or their insurance carrier, to be exact). What is important to know is that you must seek medical care as soon as possible after you have been injured. Failure to do so may mean that your medical expenses won’t be covered.

What do I need to do?

At Mill Basin Medical, I want to help you if you have suffered an injury on the job or as the result of an auto accident. Unlike many physicians, I accept no-fault insurance.

If you have been in an accident or have suffered an injury at work, you need to make an appointment to come in to be assessed as soon as possible in order to process your claim.

Time is of the essence in many cases, so the sooner you see me, the sooner your claim can be filed.

Don’t delay and risk not having your injury covered. Make an appointment to come in and see me as soon as possible.
